Palm Volley Singles League
Twelve players. Two divisions. One match a week against one opponent — and everybody makes the playoffs. Win two of three games to take the match, and every game you win counts in the standings.

The 12-player field splits into two divisions of six, balanced by rating. For five weeks you play one match against a different division opponent each week — three games to 11, win by 2, and all three get played. Win two and the match is yours. After week 5, all twelve players are seeded into the playoff bracket: the top two in each division skip the first round, and everyone else plays their way in. Lose in the bracket and you drop into the consolation bracket, so you're still playing in the final week.
Gold. Silver. Bronze.
The playoff champion takes Gold and the runner-up Silver. The two semifinal losers meet in a bronze medal match in the final week.
How each week works
Your weekly matchup is posted in your Palm Volley account, and league admin puts you in touch so you can find a time.
You and your opponent choose the day, time, and court that work for both of you. Then it's three games to 11, win by 2 — all three, even if the match is decided after two.
The winner logs all three game scores in their Palm Volley account right after the match. The week closes Sunday at 11:00 PM sharp.
How standings & seeding work
Division standings are ranked by match wins. Game wins break the ties — which is why all three games get played, every week.
Five matches, five opponents, one shot at each. After week 5 the division table sets your playoff seed: match record first, then total game wins, then head-to-head, then total point differential. Seeds 1 and 2 in each division earn a first-round bye.

Everything you need to know
Singles is its own game, and this league is open to any player who wants competitive one-on-one pickleball. Divisions are balanced by rating so each one is a fair fight from week 1. Not sure it's for you? Message us and we'll talk it through.
Five regular-season weeks, then three playoff weeks: round 1 and the quarterfinals in week 6, semifinals in week 7, and the final and bronze match in week 8. Weeks close Sunday at 11:00 PM, and the next week's matchups go out that night.
No fixed league night and no fixed venue. Only two schedules to coordinate — the easiest league on the calendar.
Covers all eight weeks, including every playoff and consolation round. Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals for the podium.
All 12 players make the bracket. Division seeds 1–2 get a first-round bye; seeds 3–6 play in. Lose a bracket match and you move to the consolation bracket — nobody is done after one loss.
Players supply game balls. The LT Pro 48 is the league's recommended ball — if neither of you has one, any ball you both agree on works.

Questions, answered
What exactly is the playoff format?+
Week 6 holds two rounds. Round 1: within each division, seed 3 plays seed 6 and seed 4 plays seed 5. The quarterfinals follow later that same week and cross over — each division's top two seeds face the other division's round-1 winners — so the two division winners can only meet in the final. Week 7 is the semifinals; week 8 is the final, with the semifinal losers playing for Bronze. Round-1 and quarterfinal losers continue in the consolation bracket.
Do I have to play the third game if I've already won two?+
Yes. Game wins are the first tiebreaker in the standings and for playoff seeding, so game three always matters — for both players.
How are the two divisions set?+
By rating, in snake order (1, 4, 5, 8, 9, 12 in one division; 2, 3, 6, 7, 10, 11 in the other) so neither side is stacked. You only face your own division during the regular season — the bracket is where the divisions cross.
Who serves first, and when do we switch sides?+
Flip for the first serve in game one. The player who didn't serve first in the previous game serves first in the next, and you switch sides between games. Every game is to 11, win by 2.
What if I can't play one week?+
Message league admin as early as possible — with only two schedules involved, most matches can be moved within the week. If a match truly can't be played, league admin settles it.
How are out calls and rule disputes handled?+
Games are self-officiated — out calls and rules questions are settled between the two players on the court. League administration doesn't intervene.
Who logs the scores?+
The match winner logs all three game scores in their Palm Volley account on the website or app, right after the match. All scores (and any corrections) must be in before the week closes Sunday at 11:00 PM.
What if I need to drop out? Is there a refund?+
Yes — full refund any time before the Week 1 matchups are announced. Just reach out through the contact page. After the season starts, we'll pro-rate a credit toward a future season.
